Flu epidemic and my outdoor plans - Bayo Adio

Submitted by Bayo Adio on 29 February 2008 - 12:28pm

Hello All,

I have been really sick for a week and a half now. I think i caught the Flu Epidemic that has been going around now.

And going back to the track i felt so weak, I tried competing this past weekend but i had no power, So I am officially ending my Indoor Season, I Still think I am on schedule in terms of where i need to be even though i think I should be ahead.

But its all good. I am going get some real good solid training in and get ready for the Outdoor Season and the African Championships in April.

I'm Still trying to get used to my new Approach with the New Coach, and its taking some time. I'm just trying to be as patient as possible and trusting him and his program.

Hopefully it would start helping, but i haven't being able to jump real high with it yet. So I ended my Season with an Indoor Best of 2.15m. My Goal is to jump 2.27m plus outdoors. Looking back at the previous years.

I have improved every year by at least 7cm.
In 2005 my best was 2.05,
in 2006 my best was 2.13
and it 2007, My best was 2.20m,

So i don't see why i shouldn't improve from 2.20m to at least 2.27m this year being that I'm still learning more and more about the sport everyday

Thanks for reading and I would send an update in couple of weeks and let you know how my training is going.
