Africa and Commonwealth triple jump champion, Tosin Oke has his sight set on the finals of the men's triple jump when the World's best converge in Daegu, Korea in August for the IAAF World Championships.

Oke, who won the triple jump Gold last weekend in Calabar during the Nigerian trials, says as long as he stays injury free and being a fighter, he sees no reason why he won't make it to the finals at the World championships in Korea.

"My target now is to make it to the finals in Korea. I am a fighter and I will fight my way to it.

"Right now I am in good form and I don't see anything that will stop me from that in as much as I stay injury free."

Speaking on his poor runs in the current IAAF Diamond League series, Oke attributed his poor form to injury which he said he got in April and that being the best league in the world, he cannot pull out of it but compete.

He said he missed the opening stage of the league and that since he started two weeks ago, he is now ready to acquire points that will see him through the league.

"My diamond league appearance has been so poor, in April I had an injury, a groin injury and it affected my programs for this season that was why I was not able to compete when it started but since it is the best League in the World, I could not pull out of it, I had to jump.

"I started last two weeks and so right now I am good to go for the World Champs," said the 31-year-old.
