Kenya, Uganda and Egypt have all confirmed their participation in both men and women races at the 3rd African Nation's Mountain Running Championships set for November 28 at the Obudu Ranch Resort in Obudu, Cross River state of Nigeria.

Ugandan mountain runners have thrown down the gauntlet to the rest of the world and African nations who will be coming for the 7th Obudu international mountain race and the third African mountain running championships holding at the Obudu Ranch Resort, Cross River State on November 28.

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) Secretary General, Maria Worphil has revealed her federation's preparedness to organize the best mountain race in the world when the 7th Obudu International Mountain Race and the 3rd African Mountain Running Championships hold on November 28th at the Obudu Ranch Resort, Cross-Rivers State.

Nigeria was the best country in athletics at 2011 All-African Games in Maputo, Mozambique with 38 medals (17 Golds, 11 Silvers and 10 Bronze medals). 

Tjipekapora Herunga won her second medal at the All Africa Games on Thursday evening when she finished third in the women's 200m final in a new Namibian record time of 23.50 seconds.
