Kenyan Olympic marathon champion Samuel Kamau Wanjiru was killed when he jumped off the balcony of his home after a domestic dispute involving his wife and another woman, police in Kenya revealed today.

Kenya's John Kiprotich and Fate Tola from Ethiopia were the unexpected winners of the 28th Vienna City Marathon, whilst Haile Gebrselassie cruised to a half marathon time of 60:18.
