1. Job title: Student Interns wanted (in Abuja, Dakar, Nairobi, Addis-Ababa, Algiers, Capetown, New York, Houston, Manchester, Berlin, Beijing, London, Johannesburg, Cairo & Lagos)

We are urgently looking for students or recent journalism graduates who are looking to break into the world of online journalism for a six-month work placement with us. 2. Job title: Online Reporter (West Africa, East Africa, North Africa & South Africa)

Reporting to the website editor, the successful candidate will gather and edit material from a wide range of athletics competitions and other news sources in Africa and around the world.

A thorough knowledge of and interest in Africa and sports development issues are a must. The successful candidate will be a motivated newshound who can generate a first class network of contacts and make the most of opportunities presented by digital media. Turning interview transcripts into a readable copy to tight daily deadlines and separating the fluff from the facts are other key attributes.

This post would suit a journalist with around one year’s experience looking to make the move into online sports news reporting, or a newly-qualified journalist who can demonstrate exceptional talent and motivation.

3. Job title: International Advertising Executives (3 Posts)

Advertising is the main revenue generator in our business and the International Advertising Executives, are responsible for all online advertising. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for handling key accounts and supporting a strong sales driven environment.

The successful applicant must have good experience of selling online advertising, be highly organised, have excellent verbal & written communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to manage many competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Previous journalistic or marketing experience are also highly desirable, though not compulsory as long as you can build long term business relationships.
